As Ukrainians contend with Russia's unprovoked invasion, Covid-19 is complicating the picture
Russia's invasion of Ukraine is causing a devastating humanitarian crisis in the country, with at least two million people fleeing into neighboring countries and the World Health Organization (WHO) warning that the deteriorating conditions will make it easier for Covid-19 to spread.

Iran returns donated vaccines because they were made in US
TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran has returned 820,000 doses of coronavirus vaccines donated by Poland because they were manufactured in the United States, state TV reported Monday. TV quoted Mohammad Hashemi, an official in the country’s Health Ministry, as saying that Poland donated about a million doses of the British-Swedish AstraZeneca vaccine to Iran.

The CDC designated a half dozen new places "very high" risk for travel on Monday, including South Korea and French Polynesia. Almost 140 destinations are now at Level 4, the highest risk category.
